CAMPAIGN TO SAVE OREGON "181" LAWS
PRESERVE ORS 181.575 AND ORS 181.850

The following organizations support preserving ORS 181.575 (prohibits law enforcement from collecting and maintaining files on people's religious, political and associational activities if they are not suspected of any criminal activity) and ORS 181.850 (prohibits local law enforcement from using resources to apprehend people whose only offense is a federal immigration violation - it does not prohibit law enforcement from notifying INS if they have apprehended someone for criminal activity).   All of us share the common goal of preserving these laws because they encourage effective law enforcement and protect the rights of everyone who lives in Oregon.
